    Welcome to Aurora. By accessing or using our AI-powered development platform ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

    These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aurora. We may modify these Terms at any time by posting updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

    2. Account Terms

    To use Aurora, you must:

    • Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
    • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
    • Maintain the security of your account credentials
    • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

    You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

    3. Acceptable Use Policy

    You agree not to use Aurora to:

    • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
    • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
    • Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
    • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers
    • Use the Services for any illegal or unethical purpose
    • Resell or redistribute the Services without authorization

    4. Intellectual Property Rights

    Your Content

    You retain all ownership rights to the code, applications, and content you create using Aurora ("Your Content"). By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to host, store, and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Services.

    AI-Generated Content

    Code and content generated by Aurora's AI features are provided to you under a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license. However, you acknowledge that similar outputs may be generated for other users, and Aurora does not guarantee uniqueness or non-infringement of AI-generated content.

    Aurora's Property

    Aurora's platform, including our AI models, algorithms, interface designs, and documentation, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of our Services.

    5. Payment Terms

    Aurora offers both free and paid subscription plans. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:

    • Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
    • Provide valid payment information
    • Authorize recurring charges for subscription plans

    Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your complete payment card information. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in our refund policy. We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

    6. Credits System

    Aurora uses a credits-based system for certain Services. Credits are consumed based on usage (e.g., AI prompts, compute hours, storage). Credits:

    • Are non-transferable and non-refundable
    • May expire according to your subscription plan
    • Cannot be exchanged for cash

    7. Third-Party Services

    Aurora integrates with third-party services including GitHub, Supabase, and AI providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or security of third-party services.

    8. Data and Privacy

    Your use of Aurora is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at aurora.build/privacy. By using our Services, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

    9. Service Availability

    We strive to provide reliable Services, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We reserve the right to:

    • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services
    • Perform maintenance that may temporarily interrupt service
    • Impose usage limits or restrictions

    THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
    • Accuracy, reliability, or correctness of AI-generated code
    • Non-infringement of third-party rights
    • Uninterrupted or secure access to the Services

    You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any code generated by Aurora before deploying it to production environments.

    11. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AURORA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

    OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO AURORA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

    12. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aurora and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from:

    • Your use of the Services
    • Your violation of these Terms
    • Your violation of any rights of another party
    • Your Content or applications you deploy using Aurora

    13. Termination

    You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately if:

    • You violate these Terms
    • Your account remains inactive for an extended period
    • Required by law or to protect our rights or other users

    Upon termination, you will lose access to your account and data. We will retain your data according to our Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
